About Me
I suppose I should start at the beginning of my writing career, which started, as many do, in elementary school. I began as a young lad drawing pictures of airplanes and wars in my journal while writing compelling back stories as to what happened. Many of the stories included power rangers, most included some super powered person.
As I grew, my writing ability grew with me, I quickly forgot how to draw and began mastering the English language and the subtle, yet powerful art of Grammar. I began winning awards in high school for my creative works, poetry became something I would use to woo the females and soon after I entered college. When I entered, I forgot all about writing and became more engrossed in hanging out and partying which quickly lead to dissatisfaction academically.
I entered the job market and began working job after job. Most of the time, they were jobs that were fun and not really paying much so I was never able to stand on my own feet for very long. But I was okay with this grind, with this circus of saving just a few dollars to last me till my next paycheck. Deep down though, I felt a longing for something I had long lost. Writing. I started up again with new fervor, pushing out work after work until i could barely contain myself. With each flick of my wrist and completion of new sentences, my writing prowess grew until I had created a fan fiction with one of the most highly revered story lines ever put into a forum. These aren't my words but words of a few fans. I finally lost that feeling of longing and realized what I wanted to do with my talent instead of letting it rot away.
Which brings me to today, after years of writing and amassing articles. Only recently have I had recognition as a decent writer. I have had my works published in Coeus Magazine and JMG magazine as well as created sales pitches for How Do You Roll? Sushi Bar in Houston. Creatively, I am currently working on a script (who isn't) and also in talks with an associate about creating a comic book. I have also recently written a story/background/teaser trailer script for an Xbox Live Game entered into a contest recently.
My goal in life isn't to make the most money in the world and sell out my writing for pure profit. I am not against selling my works but ultimately I am hoping to push myself into becoming a writer for the people. Whenever I see somebody read what I write and they giggle, shake with fear, revolt in disgust, or smile warmly as their heart is touched, I feel like I am that much closer to becoming a great writer.
